Farewell event of Prof Kummert
After 30 years at the University of Wuppertal, Prof Dr Anton Kummert is retiring from active service with a farewell ceremony in the guest house.
Not only as a university lecturer, but also in his many years as Dean, he has made a significant contribution to the development of the Faculty of Electrical, Information and Media Engineering, ensuring the visibility of the faculty and the University of Wuppertal.
His research areas - from theoretical communications engineering to applications in the field of machine learning and autonomous driving - have not only enriched the academic world, but also paved the way for future-oriented technologies.
In all his years at the University of Wuppertal, Prof Kummert was a valuable guide not only as a scientist, but also as a mentor and teacher for all those who wanted to learn the field of electrical engineering and communications engineering.
We thank him for his tireless work, his significant contribution to science and teaching and his commitment to shaping the faculty and hope that he will continue to be available to us as a valued advisor to science.
